ROM calibration
ROM calibration
FOM vs ROM calibration
1. Simulated systems differ from real ones due to non-linearities and uncertainties. Every simulation, including reduced-order models (ROMs), requires calibration against test bench data.
2. Calibrating the full-order model (FOM) before reduction is inefficient. Fitting a high-dimensional FOM can take weeks, while ROM calibration takes minutes.
3. Our technology utilizes testbench data (IR cameras, thermocouples, etc.) to automatically calibrate model parameters, materials, heat sources, and boundary conditions by solving an inverse problem.
4. The optimizer adjusts model parameters until the cost function converges, minimizing the error between simulated and experimental thermal responses.
